FAQs

We’re so busy! Can we do sports and still train at GAP?

GAP operates around the traditional sports schedule with most of its time-slot offerings in the evenings and on weekends. GAP sessions aim to develop athetecism, whether an athlete is in-season or out-of-season.

Isn’t it bad to lift during the season?

Historically, there was a belief that in-season lifting could make you tired or stiff for games. However, modern strength and conditioning science has shown that it's not only beneficial but often crucial for peak performance and injury prevention throughout an entire season. In addition, each program is individualized, so our coaches not only help you learn how to listen to your own body, but will also design workouts with existing sports in mind.

Where will we train?

GAP uses facilities at Hope Christian Academy in Westland, MI. HCA is equipped with a weight room, gym, and large outdoor spaces. Speed and Agility sessions will typically take place outside, weather permitting, while strength sessions are in the weight room.

How does online coaching work?

You will get written personalized training programs that will be delivered to you through “Everfit”, an interactive training app. Online analysis meetings will be conducted via Google Meet or another method of video calling.

How do I know that my athlete will see results?

There is no “secret exercise” or “special plan” that will generate results overnight. Our approach is rooted in personalized training programs and a strong emphasis on long-term commitment because we know that true, lasting results take time and consistent effort. We partner with you to set realistic goals, knowing that real, lasting results take time!
